Big Pink Buses Arrive In Saint John

May 12th, 2010

Ambassatours Gray Line, Atlantic Canada’s largest Tour Operator, is expanding to Saint John, New Brunswick, in time for the 2010 cruise season.

Ambassatours Gray Line will be bringing eight antique London Buses to the city offering ‘Hop On Hop Off’ city tours by Double Decker bus on cruise ship days.

“The Port of Saint John is growing at a very rapid pace for cruise ship calls” says company President Dennis Campbell, “and this is absolutely the right time for our company to be expanding to Saint John”. Campbell and his Halifax team have been blown away by the welcome and cooperation they have received from the Saint John community.

As a company that strives to give back to the community, Ambassatours Gray Line has partnered with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to brand the Deckers as “Big Pink Sightseeing”. One dollar of each ticket sold will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Nancy Margeson, CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Atlantic Region, said “From pink ribbons to pink elephants, we thought we had seen it all – until “Big Pink Sightseeing”! The awareness and support for breast cancer that will be generated by the presence of multiple double-decker buses wearing the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation brand, is unlimited! The CBCF is committed to a future without breast cancer…Together Ambassatours Gray Line and the CBCF can accomplish great things”.

The Big Pink Buses will follow three routes throughout the city: A – All about Town, R – Reversing Falls and T – Top of the Market. Tour tickets purchased are good for all three routes and will run continuously throughout the day.

Ambassatours Gray Line will be sponsoring a fundraiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation on May 29 and 30, 2010. The staff of the Big Pink Buses will be offering guided tours of Saint John for the public from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on both days, departing from the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal parking lot. Donations of $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family will go directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Survivors and anyone suffering from breast cancer will travel free for the weekend.
